About us

We're spending Tom's last 6 months before retirement in our link diocese of Kimberley and Kuruman in the parish of De Aar. This huge diocese has had a link with Oxford for 15 years or more and we have already got to know the parish of Batlharos near Kuruman but De Aar will be new to us, right in the south. It is a town of about 45,000 people and an important railway junction on the line between Johannesburg and Cape Town, in the Great Karoo. We hope this blog will help family and friends to find out how we are getting on.
